The Annual IT Salary Survey starts in early November and the Annual Report is available in April of the following year.
The survey covers both management and technical staff and it is focused on Higher Education Information Technology. The survey focuses on salaries for over 108 technical and managerial positions.
The HEITS Salary Survey generates 15 management reports and 11 technical staff reports. The reports are based on job classification, and size of the institution as measured by Student Enrollment both head count and FTE. Included are salary comparisons by, IT Department Budget, Staff Size of the IT Department, Institutional Budget and the Type of Institutional Degree you award. Additional Reports include comparisons on salaries by primary funding, private, public, and geographic location, urban and small town. Comparisons are reported on salaries by Titles within type of institution, Titles across all institutions and by academic college degree achieved within each job classification across all institutions.
Participating institutions have found it helpful to print the survey to use as guide, collect the data off-line, and then return to the HEITS website to enter the data.
